MAZ Truck Sales in Russia Continue to Fall, While Bus Sales Increase

Sales of MAZ trucks in Russia declined in October, while bus sales rose, according to data from “ASM-Holding.”

In October, 335 trucks produced by the Minsk Automobile Plant were sold in Russia — a 42.7% drop compared to the same month last year. Over the first ten months of 2025, sales fell by 44.6% to 2,595 vehicles.

Overall, the Russian truck market in October contracted by 52.7% to 6,411 vehicles, and by 54% over ten months to 49,764 units. The market leader from January to October remained KamAZ, followed by China’s Sitrak and Shaanxi.

The best-selling MAZ model during the ten-month period was the MAZ 5340 4X2, with 645 units sold — 36.8% fewer than last year. Another 636 MAZ 6312 6X4 trucks were sold, down 47% from the same period in 2024.

In October, MAZ sold 96 buses in Russia — 3.5 times more than in the same month last year. However, bus sales over the first ten months fell by 20.4% to 288 units.

The overall Russian bus market shrank by 17% in October to 1,398 units, and by 47.2% over ten months to 8,367 vehicles. The market leaders remain PAZ, LiAZ, and NEFAZ.
