Trading at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE) began August with gains for the U.S. dollar, the euro and the Chinese yuan. The Russian ruble weakened.
The U.S. dollar rose by 0.08%, or 0.23 kopecks, to 2.9081 Belarusian rubles.
The euro gained 0.09%, or 0.3 kopecks, to 3.3443 Belarusian rubles.
The Russian ruble fell by 0.21%, or 0.77 kopecks. One hundred Russian rubles were valued at 3.6553 Belarusian rubles.
The Chinese yuan added 0.23%, or 0.99 kopecks. Ten yuan traded at 4.3234 Belarusian rubles.
