The renowned painting Marc Chagall‘s “Over the Town” will be exhibited at the Vitsyebsk Art Museum during the Slavianski Bazaar festival, the Culture Ministry told BelTA.
The painting will be brought from the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow. A separate exhibition hall has been prepared for the work at the Vitsyebsk Art Museum. Opposite it will be a painting by Yudel Pen, Chagall’s teacher. The exhibition will also feature works from the collection of the National Art Museum, including Pen’s self-portrait and his portrait of his gifted student, also painted by Pen.
Chagall’s painting will remain on display in the regional centre for two months. Another of Marc Chagall’s paintings, “The Walk”, is currently on display at the National Art Museum in Minsk until October.
