Alyaksandr Lukashenka said the next stage of inspections of the Belarusian Armed Forces’ readiness will focus on countering drones. He made the statement today in the Dribin District while commenting on the results of an inspection of Air Force and Air Defense units.
“I must ensure the security of my people and my state. That is why we conduct these unscheduled inspections. Late last night Valfovich reported to me. He returned from the training ground — they were checking the Air Force and the Air Defense troops. Not bad,” he said, according to his press service.
According to him, the next step will be to test equipment designed to counter drones, including electronic warfare systems.
Lukashenka added that the relevant conclusions will be drawn by the end of spring.
It should be recalled that the inspection ordered by Lukashenka is being conducted bypassing the Defense Ministry. Tasks are delivered to unit commanders by the leadership of the Secretariat of the Security Council.
