Lithuania Has Not Resumed Processing of Trucks at the Border With Belarus

Lithuania has still not resumed the processing of cargo vehicles at border checkpoints adjacent to the Belarusian crossings Kamenny Loh and Benyakoni, Belarus’s State Customs Committee reported.

Earlier, the Lithuanian Customs Department website said that customs information systems were expected to be restored by 20:00 the previous day. However, according to the Belarusian side, since 15:00 the day before, Lithuanian control services at the Benyakoni checkpoint have not accepted a single truck. Forty-five vehicles are registered in the electronic queue to exit.

At the Kamenny Loh checkpoint, vehicles are being accepted only partially and processed manually. Over the past 12 hours, 40 trucks, mostly empty, have crossed the border in both directions. About 140 vehicles are waiting to leave Belarus.

According to drivers, the Lithuanian side has promised to fully restore the operation of customs information systems by 12:00.

The processing of passenger vehicles and buses at these checkpoints continues as normal.
