Instagram зарегистрировал в Беларуси товарный знак Threads.
The National Center for Intellectual Property has published information on the registration of the Threads trademark owned by the American company Instagram, LLC. The decision to add the brand to the state register was made on 21 November 2025, and the publication followed on 1 December.
According to the agency, the rights to the trademark are valid until 27 December 2034. The application was filed in late 2024, with Instagram, LLC, located in Menlo Park, California, United States, listed as the owner.
The registration covers a broad range of goods and services in the fields of information technology, social media and online communications. In particular, Class 9 of the Nice Classification includes downloadable software for working with social networks, creating and managing profiles, engaging with feeds of short creative content, conducting surveys and sharing audio, video and audiovisual materials.
Class 38 includes services providing online access to blogs, forums, databases, photo-hosting services and platforms for sharing user-generated content. It also covers services for transmitting images, video and other digital materials between users.
In Class 41, the registration lists services for publishing non-downloadable online magazines and blogs containing user-generated content, while Class 42 covers hosting digital environments, providing platform-as-a-service (PAAS) solutions and non-downloadable software for social networks, virtual communities, content curation and access to news.
Separately, Class 45 designates services related to online social networks.
The trademark has been registered under the name Threads, corresponding to the service of the same name that Meta, the parent company of Instagram, promotes as a platform for sharing text posts and facilitating rapid social interactions. Registration in Belarus secures the company’s legal rights to use the brand in the country and creates a basis for potential expansion of services in the region.
