Average Public Sector Salary Exceeds 2,500 Belarusian Rubles in June

The average nominal gross monthly salary of public sector employees in Belarus reached 2,517.1 Belarusian rubles before taxes in June. That was an increase of 4.8%, or 114.9 Belarusian rubles, compared with May.

The average real salary in the public sector increased by 10.5% in January–June, according to data published by Belstat.

In June, the average salary in public sector organizations amounted to 81% of the national average wage.

The average June salary for public sector employees was:

  • Public administration – 3,907.9 Belarusian rubles (+75.9 Belarusian rubles from the previous month);
  • School teachers – 3,231.6 Belarusian rubles (+236.4 Belarusian rubles);
  • Preschool teachers – 2,135.4 Belarusian rubles (+90.3 Belarusian rubles);
  • University faculty members – 4,250.6 Belarusian rubles (+895.9 Belarusian rubles);
  • Doctors – 4,563.4 Belarusian rubles (+130 Belarusian rubles);
  • Nursing staff – 2,483.7 Belarusian rubles (+63.9 Belarusian rubles).
