Instagram Page of the Belarusian Solidarity Center Declared “Extremist” in Belarus

The Information Ministry has updated the “Republican List of Extremist Materials.” Among other entries, it now includes the Instagram page of the Belarusian Solidarity Center, “cbs_help.” The corresponding decision was made on March 11 by the Kirov District Court of the Mahilyou Region.

The list also includes:

• Facebook pages “BiaƗska Fundacja Solidarnośći z BiaƗorusia,” “BiaƗoruś 2020 LIVE,” and “Inicjatywa Wolna BiaƗoruś”;
• Instagram pages “studprisoners,” “cbs_help,” and “prismatica.belarus”;
• TikTok pages “chestnok_live_ivulin” and “SkeptiC”;
• the Odnoklassniki page “Klimovichi.”

It should be recalled that Belarusian authorities regularly use accusations of extremism to combat political opponents and dissent in general.
