Industrial Production In Belarus Continues To Show Weak Growth In August

Industrial production in Belarus continued to show weak growth in August. Industrial output totaled 146 billion rubles in January-August. It increased by 0.2% in comparable prices compared with the same period in 2025, according to Belstat data. In the first seven months, industrial production grew by 0.1%.

The sectors showed the following dynamics:

  • mining +2.7% (1.97 billion rubles),
  • manufacturing -1% (129 billion rubles),
  • electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning supply +7.5% (12.25 billion rubles),
  • water supply; collection, treatment and disposal of waste, remediation activities +1.6% (2.82 million rubles).

By region, Minsk recorded the largest decline (-4.6%). Industrial production grew the most in the Brest region (+5%).
