A counterfeit $100 banknote produced using industrial methods has been identified in Vitsyebsk. The State Committee of Forensic Examinations reported this.
A Vitsyebsk resident brought the banknote to a bank branch. A bank employee questioned its authenticity and notified the police.
“The creators of this banknote used equipment that allows images to be applied using intaglio printing (engraving),” the committee concluded.
At the same time, expert equipment and professional expertise made it possible to establish that the $100 note was counterfeit.
