Hancharenka Appointed Head Coach of Belarus National Football Team

Viktar Hancharenka has been appointed head coach of the Belarus national football team. The decision was taken by the executive committee of the Belarusian Football Federation. The Belarusian coach replaces Spaniard Carlos Alos, who led the team from August 2023 to December 2025.

Hancharenka rose to prominence as head coach of BATE Barysaw. He led the Barysaw-based club from 2007 to 2013. Under his leadership, BATE reached the UEFA Champions League group stage. He later worked extensively in Russia, coaching CSKA Moscow, Kuban Krasnodar, Ural Yekaterinburg, and other clubs.
