France Reaffirms Unchanged Policy Toward the Lukashenka Regime

Pavel Latushka, Deputy Head of the United Transitional Cabinet and member of the Coordination Council, and Artsiom Brukhan, Speaker of the Coordination Council, met with Frédéric Petit, head of the “For a Democratic Belarus” parliamentary group in the French National Assembly.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of accountability. The French National Assembly member spoke in favor of holding Lukashenka and his associates accountable for crimes committed against the Belarusian and Ukrainian peoples.

Latushka and Brukhan also presented to Petit the concept of a round table as a mechanism for resolving Belarus’s internal political crisis.

For his part, Frédéric Petit stressed that France is not changing its policy toward the Lukashenka regime, the press service of the United Transitional Cabinet reported.
