Former Director in Pinsk District Charged Over Growing Accounts Receivable

A former director of a company in the Pinsk district has become the subject of a criminal case.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, for more than two years the suspect continued to sign additional agreements extending payment deadlines under existing contracts, despite persistent problems with payment for goods already delivered. He also kept shipping products even as outstanding debts accumulated.

“Through these unlawful actions, the organisation sustained damage in the form of overdue external accounts receivable totalling more than 1.5 million roubles, which constitutes an especially large amount,” the Prosecutor’s Office said.

His actions have been classified under Part 3 of Article 424 of the Criminal Code (abuse of power or official authority).
