The Orsha District and Orsha City Court sentenced a 23-year-old foreigner to 14 years in a prison colony and a fine for transporting drugs across the border. The defendant’s citizenship was not disclosed.
According to case materials, in October 2025, the defendant worked for a drug trafficking operation in a neighboring country. On instructions from a handler, he collected nearly 6 kg of alpha-PVP from caches in the neighboring country and transported the drugs to Belarus in several trips. He used a Skoda Rapid for transportation, whose owner was unaware of the criminal scheme.
The defendant hid about 1 kg of the psychotropic substance in a cache in Polatsk district and passed the coordinates to other members of the group for small-scale wholesale distribution.
The young man was detained in Orsha district. The remaining nearly 5 kg of the psychotropic substance was found in his car, the Vitsyebsk region prosecutor’s office reports.
The court sentenced the foreigner to 14 years in prison and a fine of 6,750 rubles. Three mobile phones belonging to the defendant were confiscated. He was also ordered to pay more than 3,000 rubles, an amount corresponding to the value of property obtained through criminal activity.
