Fire Near Wildberries Warehouse Follows Drone Attack in Yekaterinburg

A fire broke out near a Wildberries logistics complex in Yekaterinburg on the morning of July 25. As reported by E1.RU, thick black smoke was visible from the direction of the Polevodstvo settlement, near the marketplace’s warehouses.

Wildberries said that a planned evacuation had been carried out at the logistics facility in advance in accordance with safety requirements. Operations at the complex have been temporarily suspended, but the company expects to resume normal operations in the near future.

“The logistics complex was not damaged,” the company added.

Sverdlovsk Region Governor Denis Pasler said that one attempted drone attack on the region had been repelled.

According to him, falling drone debris caused a fire in a parking area in Yekaterinburg’s Chkalovsky District, covering an area of about 300 square meters.

“Economic and infrastructure facilities were not damaged. People were evacuated, and there were no casualties. All relevant services are working at the scene. The fire has been contained, and there is no threat of it spreading. Efforts to deal with the aftermath are ongoing. The threat of a drone attack in the region still remains,” he wrote.
