The EU Special Representative for Human Rights, Kaja Ollongren, said she would spend the five days leading up to the International Day of Solidarity with Political Prisoners in Belarus on May 21 highlighting the cases of political prisoners in particularly vulnerable situations — people with serious illnesses and disabilities.
She published the first video on Instagram on May 15, calling on people to join in expressing solidarity with political prisoners and demanding their immediate and unconditional release.
“Over the next five days, I plan to highlight cases of political prisoners who are in especially vulnerable situations — people with serious illnesses and people with disabilities. I hope you will join me in expressing solidarity with them and calling for their immediate and unconditional release. You can do so by sharing my message with your friends or by leaving a comment under this video”, she said.
