In Viciebsk, due to a rupture of a heating main, dozens of residential buildings, kindergartens and industrial facilities were left without heating and hot water overnight from Friday to Saturday. Temperatures of −18°C to −20°C are expected in Viciebsk overnight.
An accident occurred on a section of a heating network with a diameter of 700 mm in the area of Horkaha Street. The heat carrier leak was detected by personnel of the Viciebsk district heating networks, Vitebskenergo reported.
Heating and hot water are unavailable at the following addresses:

Repair work will continue throughout the night. Hot water supply and heating are expected to be restored on the morning of January 31.
“On the evening of January 30, an inspection of the damaged section was carried out, as well as earthworks and preparatory measures to organise устранение the defect in order to minimise the duration of the heat supply outage for consumers. Around midnight, energy workers began disconnecting the heat supply and preparing for welding work to replace the damaged section of the heating network,” Vitebskenergo reported.
