A direct bus between Hrodna and Homiel will begin operating on 5 December. It will pass through four regions, and the route will be almost 600 kilometres long, according to Uladzimir Pryvalau, chairman of the Homiel City Executive Committee.
For now, the schedule includes only two weekly services: on Fridays and Sundays. The bus will depart from Hrodna at 05:00 and from Homiel at 18:10. If demand increases, the number of services may be expanded.
Along the way, the bus will stop in Shchuchyn, Lida and Babruisk. The journey between Hrodna and Homiel in either direction will take 7 hours and 37 minutes. A large bus equipped with “all necessary features for a comfortable trip” will operate on the route. A direct ticket from Hrodna to Homiel or back costs 70 roubles.
It is noted that in the 1980s a direct bus also operated between Hrodna and Homiel.
