Customs Service Uncovers Mobile Homemade Fuel Station

The State Customs Committee has uncovered a mobile homemade fuel station.

A man installed two 1,000-liter tanks containing diesel fuel in a Ford Transit. His station was also equipped with the necessary equipment for dispensing fuel, including a fuel transfer pump, nozzles and hoses.

A driver working for a Polish carrier used the refueling service near the Berastavitsa border crossing. The driver will be held liable for violating the rules governing the movement and refueling of vehicles. Trucks from EU countries may refuel in Belarus only at designated filling stations, where prices are slightly higher than elsewhere in the country.

The “entrepreneur’s” actions will also be legally assessed. The inspection materials have been sent to the tax authorities.
