A married couple from Brest (Belarus) argued over household chores. The husband used physical force against his wife, and she retaliated with a rolling pin — resulting in criminal charges.
On October 17, the couple had been drinking alcohol and began arguing after the man refused to help around the house. During the quarrel, he physically assaulted his wife. In response, the woman grabbed a wooden rolling pin and struck her husband several times on the back and chest.
The man sustained serious injuries and is currently hospitalized, according to the Investigative Committee.
The 40-year-old woman was detained. A criminal case has been opened against her under Part 1 of Article 147 of the Criminal Code (“Intentional Infliction of Serious Bodily Injury”).
The couple has three young children, who have been placed under the care of their grandmother. The family has been classified as being in a socially dangerous situation.
