The fee for registration in the electronic queue system at the border will increase from Jan. 1. The new fee levels were approved by Council of Ministers Resolution No. 782 dated Dec. 29, which was published on the National Legal Internet Portal on Tuesday.
Currently, the fee for registration in the border electronic queue system is one base unit for each freight vehicle and bus, and 0.3 of a base unit for each passenger car, motorcycle and moped. Under the new government decision, from Jan. 1, 2026, the registration fee in the electronic queue will be set at:
The government has also adjusted the distribution of funds collected from registration. As before, 70% of the funds will be transferred by Beltamozhservice to operators of waiting zones, and 10% to the State Border Committee. However, when a fee is charged with an entry date reservation, the organisation will distribute funds only in the amount of 0.5 of a base unit.
The regulation on the operation of the electronic queue system has also been amended with provisions allowing individuals to register in the system via the Beltamozhservice website. At the same time, the number of passenger cars for which an entry date may be reserved at a checkpoint will be determined jointly with the State Border Committee and the State Customs Committee separately for each checkpoint. Reservation of an entry date at a checkpoint is not permitted for passenger cars carrying out international transportation of goods or passengers.
