Belavia Aircraft Flies to Libya

A Belavia Airbus A330-243 (registration number EW-587PD) made a flight from Minsk to Libya on November 3 and departed back at 17:59 UTC (20:59 Minsk time).

Flight-tracking services did not specify the Libyan airport of landing, but the aircraft appeared to have touched down near Benghazi.

The same plane flew to Libya on October 20 and 24. On October 24, Libyan media reported that a group of Libyan special forces had arrived in Belarus for training. On October 20–21, Saddam Khalifa Haftar, the son of Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar and deputy commander of the Libyan National Army, was visiting Belarus, though he used a plane operated by the Chinese airline Deep Jet.
