Belarusian Woman Detained With Drugs In India — Media

In the Indian state of Goa, during an anti-drug police raid, Belarusian citizen Ina Volkova was detained. The arrest took place in the village of Korgao during the night of 9–10 December.

According to the outlet Goemkarponn, police found at her residence 933 grams of liquid allegedly containing dimethyltryptamine (DMT), 41 grams of raw tree bark for DMT extraction, 388 grams of liquid DMT, and 8 grams of dried mushrooms. The total value of the seized substances is estimated at 10 million rupees (about 11,000 US dollars).

A criminal case has been opened. The Belarusian woman has been placed under arrest. Authorities are investigating whether she is linked to a larger network involved in the production and supply of DMT.
