Fighters from the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) seized weapons during an attack on Pakistani security forces’ posts in Balochistan. Among the captured weapons were Belarusian-made VSK-100 assault rifles, as the weapons identification-focused OSINT project War Noir reported on July 8, 2026.
The published video also shows a rare POF Azb Mk1 designated marksman rifle made in Pakistan and Turkish-made weapons.
The report does not specify when the attack took place or which units the captured rifles belonged to. The footage itself also does not allow the circumstances under which the weapons came into the fighters’ possession to be independently established.
VSK-100 rifles have previously been supplied to Pakistan’s security forces. It was reported that in 2021, 406 such rifles were delivered to special police units in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. It is unknown whether the VSK-100 rifles shown by War Noir are from that batch.
Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, also known as the Pakistani Taliban movement, is an independent organization and is not part of the Taliban movement that came to power in Afghanistan.
The VSK-100 is chambered for 7.62×39 mm ammunition and is based on the Kalashnikov assault rifle design. The weapons are assembled at production facilities of BSVT — New Technologies in Stankovo. The magazine has a capacity of 30 rounds, and the rifle has both semi-automatic and automatic firing modes.
In February 2026, State Secretary of the Security Council Aliaksandr Valfovich said that Belarus plans to launch mass production of the VSK-100 by the end of the year with “100 percent localization.” According to him, the rifle has already been adopted by Belarus’s armed forces.
