A Belarusian citizen has been sentenced to five years in prison in Wroclaw for obtaining sexual intercourse by deception and distributing photographs of the victim. The verdict was delivered on July 3. The man is also facing charges in another similar case.
According to the Wroclaw District Prosecutor’s Office, the defendant, Pavel S., worked as a taxi driver. He met the victim online. During the night of February 10–11, he secretly administered psychoactive substances that induced memory loss and euphoria, then engaged in sexual intercourse with her while partially recording the act on his mobile phone. Whenever the woman began to regain consciousness, he gave her additional doses of the drug and prevented her from leaving the car.
Although the verdict, delivered on July 3, has not yet entered into legal force, the Belarusian national was taken into custody because he has been charged with committing another similar offense.
According to the new charges, during the night of June 10–11 this year, he forced another victim to drink beer containing psychoactive substances while threatening her with a knife. While she was under the influence of the drugs, he engaged in sexual intercourse with her.
If convicted on the new charges, the Belarusian citizen faces between three and twenty years in prison.
