The Belarusian government has adjusted the procedure for obtaining one-time licences for the import and export of goods. The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister Aliaksandr Turchyn.
Under the new rules, an application from an interested party is sent directly to the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade, which is the authority empowered to issue such licences. If necessary, the ministry will subsequently forward the application, together with the relevant set of documents, to coordinating state bodies or organisations.
In addition, for the purpose of regulating volumes of exports of waste and scrap of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, the Ministry of Industry has been designated as the body responsible for coordinating the issuance of licences for the export of such waste.
