Belarusian Government Approves Launch of Suburban Trains From Viciebsk and Orsha to Smolensk

On January 30, the Government of Belarus approved two Union State projects providing for the launch of suburban trains on the Smolensk–Viciebsk and Smolensk–Orsha routes.

“Financing is planned to be carried out using funds from the Union State budget. The total volume of financing in 2026–2028 will amount to about 940.734 million Russian roubles,” the government press service reported.
