Belarus’ Foreign Ministry has issued a statement in connection with a drone attack on a bus transporting Belarusian children in Russia’s Bryansk Region.
“We strongly condemn the attack on a civilian bus carrying Belarusian citizens, including children, in the Bryansk Region of the Russian Federation. We regard this as yet another act of terrorism against civilians.
We demand comprehensive explanations from the Ukrainian side,” according to a statement distributed by Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ruslan Varankou.
He also stressed the need to prevent travel by citizens to conflict zones and adjacent regions.
“In connection with this tragic incident, we consider it important to note the following.
We draw attention to the need for strict compliance with procedures governing the organisation of travel by groups of citizens, especially children, for recreation and health-related trips to foreign countries.
We also emphasise the obligation to ensure the complete exclusion of travel by citizens to conflict zones, areas of military operations and neighbouring regions,” the statement said.
