The Grodno Regional Police Department reported an unusual theft case. A 53-year-old resident of the Berestovitsa District contacted police to report that his potatoes had been stolen.
The man and his relatives had dug up potatoes on a plot of land allocated to him. After a tractor passed through the furrows, the family decided to leave the collection for the next day. When the man arrived at the field the following morning, he found it empty.
A total of 830 kilograms of potatoes were stolen. The theft took place between September 21 and 22, and police are still searching for suspects.
“At present, officers are working to identify individuals who may be involved in the crime. A criminal case has been opened under the article on theft,” the statement said.
