The maximum allowable debt burden ratio for loans issued to purchase goods (works and services) produced in Belarus, excluding motor vehicles, has been increased from 40% to 50%. The corresponding resolution was adopted by the National Bank of Belarus on Aug. 3.
The same rules also apply to leasing agreements if the leased assets are Belarusian-made goods (excluding motor vehicles).
The maximum amount of a microloan secured by movable property for which microfinance organizations are not required to calculate a borrower’s debt burden ratio has been increased from 10 to 20 base units.
