Belarus’s ambassador to Switzerland, Alyaksandr Hanevich, acting on the instructions of Alyaksandr Lukashenka, took part in a ceremony approving the charter of the Peace Council established by U.S. President Donald Trump. The event took place on Jan. 22 on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
“As a co-founder of the Peace Council, Belarus is ready to play an active role in shaping a new architecture of global and regional security based on the principles of mutual respect and unconditional consideration of the national interests of the member states,” the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service said.
“The Belarusian side sincerely supports any diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving peace and harmony through dialogue, ensuring progressive and sustainable economic development and mutually beneficial cooperation,” the ministry added.
