Belarus will share technology for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles with India. The statement was made by Uladzimir Karanik, chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences, commenting to Belarusian television on a visit to India.
“The areas of cooperation may be in absolutely unexpected directions and in those fields where we probably did not anticipate that our competencies would prove to be in demand on the Indian market.
The development of civilian unmanned aerial vehicles. At present, the issue of organizing the transfer of production technology on the territory of India is being discussed. This will likely become one of the first such joint operations, where the transfer of technology is carried out not from India to the Republic of Belarus, but from the Academy of Sciences to our Indian partners. There are not many details yet.
I believe that this issue, like any serious deal, requires silence. But I hope that even if this does not turn into a completed project, cooperation in this area will certainly continue,” he said.
It was reported earlier that India had purchased 100 units of Miratvorets kamikaze drones produced in Belarus. The buyer under the contract was the Indian company SMPP AMMUNITION PVT. LTD.
