The Council of Ministers has revised the terms of state support available to businesses that create jobs for people with disabilities. The relevant resolution was adopted today.

Under the new rules, businesses will be able to receive compensation covering only 50% of the costs of creating such jobs. Currently, 100% of the costs are compensated. State support is therefore being halved.

At the same time, a requirement is being introduced regarding the level of pay for jobs created for people with disabilities. It must be at least 150% of the minimum wage.

“A condition for receiving budget financing will be that the share of people with disabilities among employees is at least 3% (currently, financing is provided if the number of new jobs planned exceeds 3%). This condition will not apply to cases where jobs for people with disabilities are created in rural areas and in towns with populations of up to 20,000”, the press service added.

The resolution was adopted to improve the efficiency of budget funds allocated for the creation of jobs for people with disabilities.
