Belarus is introducing electronic visas for Indian citizens and also plans to launch direct flights from Minsk to Mumbai and Goa.

The Belarusian government adopted a new version of its visa regulations on September 14, 2026, at the initiative of the Foreign Ministry. Under the updated rules, India has been added to the list of countries whose citizens are eligible to obtain an e-visa to enter Belarus, the Foreign Ministry reported.

“This decision is aimed at systematically simplifying entry procedures and intensifying people-to-people contacts, which form the foundation of Belarusian-Indian relations. Introducing e-visas for Indian citizens will be a practical step toward boosting business cooperation,” the Foreign Ministry said.

Belarus expects the introduction of electronic visas to reduce administrative barriers, simplify the organization of mutual business visits and B2B negotiations, and facilitate work on joint investment and trade projects.

In addition to visa facilitation, Belarus plans to launch direct flights from Minsk to Mumbai and Goa.
