Belarus’s energy system has been placed on high alert due to worsening weather conditions, Belenergo reported.
About 670 crews have been formed to deal with possible damage, more than 720 units of special equipment have been prepared for deployment, and the operability of around 300 diesel generator units has been checked.
Technical personnel have been switched to an enhanced work режим, and round-the-clock monitoring of the operational situation has been organized.
As a reminder, forecasters have issued an orange-level weather warning for Tuesday, January 27. Heavy snow, ice, and icy conditions on roads are expected.
