Belarus Embassy Urges Citizens To Leave Iran By Land

The Belarusian Embassy in Tehran has issued recommendations for Belarusian citizens currently in Iran. Due to the closure of Iran’s airspace, Belarusians are strongly advised to use land routes to leave for Armenia or Azerbaijan.

The Nurduz–Agarak checkpoint toward Armenia has been named the optimal option. To leave through Azerbaijan via the Astara checkpoint, it is necessary to obtain an individual permit in advance. To apply for it, the embassy asks that the following data be sent: full name in Russian and English, date of birth, passport number and validity period, entry stamp into Iran, contact phone numbers, and a color copy of the passport.

Documents are accepted through the Iranian messengers BALE or RUBIKA (+989122152935), WhatsApp (+989300037990), or by email at iran@mfa.gov.by.

Before departure, the embassy recommends observing personal safety measures: do not approach military or government facilities, do not take photos or videos, avoid crowded places, and if necessary seek shelter or stay on the lower levels of underground parking facilities.

Emergency contact numbers of the embassy: +98 21 22752229, +98 912 2152935.
