Belarus Approves Export Financing Mechanism for Union State Products

The Belarusian government has approved a mechanism for export financing of products granted “Union State Product” status. The relevant resolution was signed by Prime Minister Aliaksandr Turchyn.

The document is aimed at improving export financing mechanisms under the decree on promoting exports of goods, works and services, the government’s press service said.

The resolution provides for export financing of products manufactured in Russia that have been granted “Union State Product” status. Such status is awarded to products containing at least 25% Belarusian components.

In 2026, only four categories of products will be eligible for the status: machine tools, buses, trucks and microelectronics.

From 2027, the status may be granted to products in any category.

In addition, during 2026 export financing will also be available for products that do not have “Union State Product” status if they are manufactured in Russia under licensing agreements using Belarusian components.

The amount of export financing will be limited to the value of the Belarusian components used in manufacturing the products in Russia. The government expects the new mechanism to increase supplies of Belarusian industrial products to the Russian market.
