Belarus and Iran Sign 2026 Cooperation Plan “on Promising Areas”

Belarus and Iran have signed a cooperation plan for 2026 covering promising areas. The document was signed on 8 December in Tehran following the 18th meeting of the Belarusian-Iranian Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, the Ministry of Industry reported.

The meeting was co-chaired by Belarusian Industry Minister Andrei Kuznyatsou and Iranian Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Seyyed Mohammad Atabak. It was also attended by Belarus’s ambassador to Iran, Dzmitry Kaltsou, as well as representatives of national government bodies and Industry Ministry enterprises.

The sides identified key cooperation priorities: increasing the volume of bilateral trade while expanding the range of goods, implementing joint projects in industrial cooperation, enhancing cooperation in science and education, and strengthening humanitarian exchanges in culture, sports and tourism.

“The Belarusian side is ready to offer Iran high-quality machinery and food products and is interested in importing fruit and vegetables, as well as pharmaceutical products from Iran,” Kuznyatsou said.

The Defence Ministries of Belarus and Iran also approved a plan of joint activities for next year.
