Viktar Babaryka took to X to thank Poland’s Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski for meeting with Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhankou on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

“I thank Radosław Sikorski for meeting with the Belarusian Foreign Minister during the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, even in today’s difficult circumstances. Every opportunity for dialogue matters when it can help improve relations for the benefit of the people of Poland and Belarus,” he wrote.

The politician’s Telegram channel also said that Viktar Babaryka viewed the meeting as an indication of a genuine partner’s actions toward Belarus.

Sikorski described the meeting as an introductory meeting, with border and regional security issues discussed. At the same time, he did not rule out further developments following the meeting.
