Average Salary of Belarusian Public Sector Employees Slightly Increased in September

The average nominal gross salary of public sector employees in September amounted to 2,053.7 rubles before taxes. It rose by 1.3%, or 27 rubles, compared with August.

In real terms, the average salary in the public sector grew by 11.4% year-on-year for the period from January to September 2025, according to data published by Belstat.

In September, the ratio of salaries in public institutions to the national average was 77.9%.

The average September salaries in the public sector were as follows:

• Public administration – 3,220.7 rubles (down 65.4 rubles from the previous month);
• Teachers – 2,242 rubles (up 155.8 rubles);
• Preschool educators – 1,732 rubles (down 9.6 rubles);
• University faculty – 2,879.1 rubles (up 244.2 rubles);
• Doctors – 3,932.7 rubles (down 29.1 rubles);
• Nursing and mid-level medical staff – 2,052.4 rubles (down 5.1 rubles).
