Belarus’ traffic police will conduct the nationwide preventive campaign “Motorcyclist” from Aug. 6 to Aug. 16.
During this period, riders of two-wheeled vehicles will face increased scrutiny from traffic inspectors.
“The maximum possible number of motorcycle patrol units has been deployed for the campaign. Unmanned aerial vehicles and the capabilities of the national public safety monitoring system are being used to detect serious traffic violations committed by motorcycle riders,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ press service said.
The ministry said that offenders would face “the strictest administrative penalties, including the seizure of their vehicles.”
