The Appellate Economic Court of Belarus will begin hearing cases on January 1, 2026. President Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree today appointing the court’s judicial staff.
The court will have 27 judges, including its chair and deputies. The duties of the chair will be performed by Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court Yury Kobets.
“The establishment of the Appellate Economic Court marks the final stage of judicial reform in Belarus. This creates a fully developed three-tier system of economic courts in the country,” the press service of Lukashenko said.
