All Nine Lists Registered to Take Part in Coordination Council Elections

The Election Commission of the Coordination Council has announced the final results of candidate registration for the KS. All nine lists have received official approval. A total of 174 people are competing for 80 seats in the Belarusian proto-parliament.

The following coalitions have been registered:

  • the coalition of Pavel Latushka and the For Freedom movement — 38 people (led by Pavel Latushka and Yury Hubarevich);
  • the Vola movement — 28 people (leader Nikita Zabuga);
  • the United Civic Platform — 22 people (leader Mikalai Kazlou);
  • Your Voice — 20 people (leader Andrei Kolas);
  • Enough Fear! — 13 people (leader Tatsiana Martynava);
  • Nastup — 13 people (leader Lizaveta Prakopchyk);
  • the Belarusian political prisoners’ bloc Belarusians of Action — 12 people (leader Yuras Zenkovich);
  • the European Choice coalition led by Valery Matskevich — 17 people;
  • Law and Order, led by Siarhei Makar — 12 people.

Each list will have an opportunity to present its programme and communicate with voters through the Try Slany platform. Voting is scheduled for May 11-17.
