Russian drones attacked energy infrastructure facilities in several regions of Ukraine. As Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, about 280,000 families were left without electricity in the Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions as a result of the strikes.

According to him, Russian Shahed drones struck a combined heat and power plant in Kyiv on the evening of October 30. Overnight, four electrical substations and a gas distribution system facility were attacked in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Before dawn, a Russian drone struck a combined heat and power plant in Shostka in the Sumy region.

In addition, strikes on railway infrastructure were recorded in Dnipro and Kharkiv.

As a result of the attacks, around 200,000 families in Dnipro and the Dnipropetrovsk region, as well as more than 80,000 families in the Kyiv region, were left without electricity. Emergency crews are working to restore power supplies.

“The world sees how Russia targets civilian infrastructure every day. And everyone who does not want to see how this Russian escalation could spread further across Europe must help Ukraine. Strong steps towards peace are needed. These include sanctions against the aggressor and new packages of support for Ukraine. Thank you to everyone who is helping,” the Ukrainian leader said.
