Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with US presidential envoy Steve Witkoff today, Putin’s aide Yury Ushakov said.

“Yes, Putin will receive Witkoff at the Konstantinovsky Palace. The meeting is scheduled for the first half of the day today,” he said.

Earlier, Witkoff and Russian presidential envoy Kirill Dmitriev had already arrived at the Konstantinovsky Palace.

Ushakov described the meeting between Witkoff and Putin as a planned event.

“I would say it is a routine event. It was agreed upon several days ago. There was no secret about it for us or for those who prepared the meeting,” he added.

“Talks on the conflict in Ukraine are, naturally, the main part of today’s engagement,” Ushakov said.

Witkoff arrived in St. Petersburg from Oslo, where he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy yesterday.
