Belarus To Expand List Of Audit Companies Serving HTP Crypto Residents

Belarus will expand the list of audit companies that will be able to work with applicants and crypto residents of the High-Tech Park. Two companies are currently authorized to provide such services; after the list is amended, their number will increase to seven.

This was reported by the first deputy head of the council’s secretariat, Dzmitry Kalechyts, following a meeting of the HTP Supervisory Board chaired by Prime Minister Aliaksandr Turchyn, according to the government.

“We discussed a number of issues related to improving the development of the digital tokens sector. But first of all, I want to note that this financial technology sector is developing very dynamically, with very positive momentum. It should be said that all key development indicators — revenue, exports, cash turnover and taxes paid by residents — have increased more than twofold compared with the first half of last year,” he said.

In addition, the Supervisory Board clarified the requirements for the annual reports of HTP crypto residents.

“Additional requirements have been introduced for them to cover issues related to compliance with legislative requirements and acts of the Supervisory Board, as well as a number of business processes,” Kalechyts said.

The meeting participants also discussed combating cyber fraud. Following the adoption of the relevant legislative amendments, HTP crypto residents are expected to be able to interact with the National Bank’s automated system for exchanging information on incidents. The meeting considered the procedure for such interaction and the actions residents should take if they receive information from the system.

The Supervisory Board also considered the registration of new HTP residents and the approval of business projects. In addition, the inclusion of additive technologies in the list of activities permitted for HTP residents was discussed.
