Military diplomats accredited in Belarus observed practical exercises as part of a command-and-staff exercise involving troops of the Western Operational Command. According to the Defense Ministry, they included military attachés from five NATO countries: Bulgaria, Hungary, Turkey, the United States and the Czech Republic.
“Representatives of the foreign military diplomatic corps were able to see for themselves that the exercise is exclusively defensive in nature and is aimed at strengthening the ability of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus to protect the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the ministry said.
The military diplomats observed exercises involving coordination between aviation and motorized rifle units.
