Belarus’ Ministry of Health has published statistics on ice-related and cold-related injuries since the start of winter. In the current season, which began on November 26, 2025, a total of 7,845 people were injured, including 1,496 children.
Most patients were injured as a result of falls during icy conditions — 5,677 adults and 1,454 children. At the same time, 228 adults and 498 children were injured while riding snow tubes, sleds, ice sliders, and similar equipment.
The Health Ministry warned that icy conditions are expected on roads in many parts of the country today. Earlier, forecasters issued an orange-level weather warning for Tuesday.
