Zelenskyy: We Are Ready To Meet Anywhere Except Russia And Belarus

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy once again said he is ready to continue negotiations with Russia in any format and on any territory, but not in Belarus.

“We are ready to meet, and I have said this repeatedly — in any format, in any place, except Russia and Belarus. A trilateral meeting must take place. It is being delayed, of course, because the attention of the United States is currently focused on Iran. That is understandable, but nevertheless I very much want no one to forget about Russia’s war against Ukraine”, he said today, according to UNIAN.

It should be noted that the Ukrainian president made similar comments in February and again on Saturday in an interview with NBC.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes a new trilateral meeting is possible in the coming weeks.

“Now the ball is in the court of both the United States and Russia. I am very grateful to America for continuing this format. God willing, in the coming weeks we will have this opportunity. I do not believe we are at a deadlock. A deadlock after which what are we all supposed to do — surrender, relax? Let Russia surrender, we will not”, he said.

According to him, the United States is proposing to hold the meeting on its territory. Russia has suggested holding negotiations in Turkey or Switzerland. However, the American side said that the negotiating team is currently not leaving the United States.
