According to him, Russian attacks on the evening of October 24 killed four people in Dnipropetrovsk Region and injured another 22. An 11-year-old girl was among the injured.
“In Vinnytsia, a Russian drone struck a multi-storey residential building. Six people were injured. In Kharkiv, the Russians first struck a construction hypermarket and then cynically launched a follow-up strike on the emergency services that had arrived at the scene. Rescuers were injured. That night, strikes also targeted thermal power plants, substations, coal mines, grain storage facilities, shopping centres and a postal terminal. Damage was reported in nine regions,” the Ukrainian president said.
“This is how Russia responds to diplomacy and efforts to end its isolation. It is very important that support for those defending lives does not diminish alongside the negotiating process. The deliveries of Patriot interceptors already agreed by European countries must be unblocked. Support for Ukrainian combat aviation to defend against jet-powered Shahed drones must also continue. Every such defence package, especially ahead of winter, helps save lives,” he stressed.
